The capstone integrative experience immediately engages and challenges you to take on a leadership role. Using the concepts presented in the preceding core MBA courses, you will be asked to analyze a company from the perspective of a Chief Operating Officer or Chief Executive Officer. Through teams, simulations and applied case presentations the details and nuances of leadership will be tested by the development of a business plan and a report to shareholders.

Value Chain Resource Center
The Center promotes and conducts research on information-enabled value-adding networks - networks that seek to create customer and stakeholder value and achieve sustained profitability and/or cost containment objectives through integration of emerging theory and best practices in information systems, systems engineering, and value chain management.

Integrated Product Development Program
IPD is a program designed to encompass students, faculty and courses from the colleges of Arts & Sciences (CAS), Business & Economics (CBE), Engineering & Applied Science (RCEAS) and Education (CE). The multi-disciplinary project team approach to technical entrepreneurship fosters an environment that encourages innovation, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit within the realities of design, business and engineering functions. MBA students may participate in IPD project teams as Graduate or Teaching assistants and serve as liaisons to the sponsoring companies. For more information on the IPD program click here.

Small Business Development Center
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides general management assistance to 1,500 entrepreneurs and small businesses each year in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. Five to seven MBA students are employed by the SBDC as business analysts. Candidates must have at least two years of professional full-time work experience in the U.S. to be considered for a business analyst position.
